    Supplementary files often contain external hyperlinks to datasets or repositories. Links can decay over time, breaking references in published papers. Are there open‑source tools for bulk checking link validity inside LaTeX or markdown appendices?

      There are command‑line link‑checking tools that scan full markdown or latex source files.
